Beginning Quilting Honey Bee Wall Hanging

Learn the fundamentals of quilting by creating a Honey Bee quilt block wall hanging.  We will complete the stages of quilt construction by learning about quilting vocabulary, tools, fabric selection, cutting, piecing, pressing, sewing, appliqueing, quilting and binding.  This class is definitely for beginning quilters so bring your seam ripper and come learn this fun textile craft with others.  *At the first class, a complete list of needed supplies will be provided.
Gail will model each stage of quilt construction, guide students while they complete each phase of sewing and provide written directions for completing outside of class.  Supply and tool list will be discussed at the first class.  

Skill Level: beginner
Skill Details: Basic Straight Stitch sewing ability. Must have your own sewing machine and know how to use it. No "new to you" sewing machines.
Requirements: If desired fabrics and notions can be purchased at first class.
Instructor: Gail Hull
Instructor Bio: Gail is a retired elementary teacher and has been a quilter 20+ years. Through quilting she has been able to explore her creativity, practice perseverance, grow brain matter, laugh more and build friendships. Making quilts for family and friends brings her great satisfaction and she enjoys sharing her excitement for quilting with others.
